To encourage learning, sharing, and continuous improvement across the group, we launched the first-ever Abriso-Jiffy Operational Excellence (OpEx) Awards this year.

Each plant was invited to submit two projects:

• Best Project – an improvement in production involving investment
• Smartest Project – an improvement achieved with little or no investment

All projects were implemented in 2025 and had to deliver measurable savings.

After receiving many creative and impactful submissions, the management team reviewed and voted on the entries. While many votes differed, a clear winner emerged!

🥇 1st Place – Wisches: Reduced the cost of sidestrips by 20%
The team analyzed the entire process—from extrusion to final packaging—and introduced improvements at every stage.

🥈 2nd Place – Wellen: Reduced bubble foil weight from 40 g/m² to 35 g/m²
Through recipe and process optimization, they achieved what was thought impossible on their machine for years.

🥉 3rd Place – Gliwice: Reduced thin foam density by 5% through improved cooling
A clever upgrade to the extruders delivered material savings and efficiency gains.
